Spirit Rock 

 

Make your child's special day even more memorable with the River Trail Spirit Rock! Located at the main entrance to River Trail Elementary, the Spirit Rock is a fun way to celebrate birthdays, recognize achievements, wish someone good luck, or share a congratulatory message with our school community.

 

The Spirit Rock is available to reserve through the PTO and must be reserved before it is painted. Reservations are $10 per day (plus service fees). To give as many students as possible the opportunity to participate, we ask that reservations be limited to one day per student.

 

Please note that families are responsible for finding someone to paint the rock. Before reserving, be sure to review the painting guidelines below to help keep the Spirit Rock looking its best for everyone.

 

Please follow these guidelines: 

  • Check the date for availability. This is first-come, first-serve. The RTES PTO has the right to block of the rock for certain dates for school related functions.
  • Sign up for a date. Please include your student's name in the comments.
  • Pay for the rock on this form.
  • Decorate/paint the rock. Families are responsible for finding someone to paint the rock. The school or PTO does NOT do this for you. You can paint the rock yourself or hire any of our many local artists/companies that offer this service.
  • Use only spray paint or plain acrylic paint on the rock. NO Clear Coat, Glitter, Glue, Stickers, or Puff Paint allowed! 
  • Please remember this is NOT an advertising rock. NO Advertising, Political Stuff, Debatable Stuff, or anything offensive on the rock!
  • Rock reservations start at 4:00 pm the day BEFORE and you will have it until 4:00 pm the day of your reservation. (Example: You sign up for Monday, January 8th, you paint the rock Sunday, January 7th at 4:00 pm.) Please do not paint over the rock before 4:00 pm. The family before you may want a picture of their rock with their child on their birthday. If you paint it early, they may not be able to get this picture.

Other points to remember:

  • A reminder email will be sent out by the form 2 days before your day (one day before you paint).

  • There are no refunds. Your reservation of the rock is rain or shine. There are no changes once you have signed up.

  • By signing up for the rock, you agree with these terms. The School/PTO has a right to paint over anything that does not follow the rules.

  • The location of the rock is near the RTES sign at the street entrance to the school, located at:
